Lesson 4.1  – Numbers 0 to 12

The numbers zero through twelve are:

0 = cero (SAY-roe)

1 = uno (OO-no)

2 = dos (dose)

3 = tres (trace)

4 = cuatro (QUA-troh)

5 = cinco (SINK-oh)

6 = seis (SASE)

7 = siete (see+EH-tay)

8 = ocho (OH-cho)

9 = nueve (NWAY-vay)

10 = diez (dee+ESS)

11 = once (OWN-say)

12 = doce (DOE-say)

To express time (when it is on the hour), say:

It’s one o’clock = Es la una (ESS la OO-nah)

It’s __ o’clock [any time except 1] = Son las __ [any number except 1] (SOWN loss __.)
